Handoff

Everything caught on the phone lands in one inbox you revisit.

What it is

Move what you see on the phone into Claude — into an inbox, not another new chat.

A tool for moving things seen on the phone — screenshots of prompts and posts, photos of real things, links and articles — into Claude to expand on.

The non-negotiable is where they land. Captures go into a running inbox you revisit, not a pile of fresh chats that each start from nothing. That constraint is the product; everything else is plumbing.

It was scoped in September 2026 and is being built in Claude Code under the working name Handoff.

The manual version already runs: this system's own inbox file is where captures land by hand today. If Handoff works, it should write there itself.

It's built for one person first, and possibly a product others could use.

What gets caught

Three kinds of capture, one destination.

Screenshots

Prompts and posts — the things worth keeping off a screen you were already looking at.

Photos

Real things: the yard, the walls, the sites. What you point a camera at, not what you copy.

Links and articles

Things to read and expand on, held until you come back to them.

The road ahead

One capture type, one landing zone, then see if it's a product.

Which capture type actually happens most, and so goes first · the status here was logged as a best guess, to be confirmed at review zero.
